Everest Base Camp Trek with Gokyo Ri and Chukhung Ri in March 2014
Namaste Hello , I am planning for Everest Base Camp trek along with ‘Gokyo Ri’ and ‘Chukkhung Ri’ in early March. I know early March is considered as the ending part of Winter , so I'm hoping it will be a bit greener than the usual time. I had been to been to Nepal twice before. I've done the Langtang trek, and Annapurna Base Camp Trek on this March*. I will trek as an independent trekker; I want take any guide or porter. If there is anybody else who’s also planning for the same time , I will love to join. I’m sharing my full itinerary, and I will appreciate everyone’s suggestions about it !!
Day 1 : My home to Kathmandu, book a flight for Lukla and rent few things.
Day 2 : Kathmandu to Lukla. Trek to Phakding.
Day 3 : Trek to Namche, explore around.
Day 4 : Acclimatize at Namche, explore Khumjung
Day 5 : Namche, Phortse Thanga, Dhole.
Day 6 : Dhole, Machermo, Gokyo. Explore the 3rd and 5th lake.
Day 7 : Gokyo, Gokyo Ri, Gokyo, Machermo, Phortse.
Day 8 : Phortse, Dingboche.
Day 9 : Dingboche to Chukhung to Chukhung Ri, back to Dingboche.
Day 10 : Dingboche to Dughla to Lobuche.
Day 11 : Lobuche to Gorakshep to Kala Pathar sunset to Gorakshep.
Day 12 : Gorakshep to Base Camp, Gorakshep to Dughla.
Day 13 : Dughla, Pheric, Pengboche, Tengboche, Namche.
Day 14 : Namche to Lukla.
Day 14 : Fly back to Kathmandu.
Day 15 : Fly back to home
